Basic Grey #18 - Digi Print Challenge

This afternoon I played in the Basic Grey Digi Print challenge that was posted on Saturday. I started this once and got into the challenge and when I tried to water color the image, the printer ink smeared into the color and totally messed up the image. So I thought oh well, I will sit this one out. Then I was talking to a friend and she totally jogged my memory into printing it on Vellum Cardstock and then coloring the image on the back. That way the printer ink wont smear when I color her. So thats what I did and then I mounted it onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock. Then the issue of attaching it is always there, so I used little red heart brads to hold the pieces together.

There is another difference I think between mine and everyone elses. Mine looks so big and the others all look smaller. I tried resizing the images but it didnt seem to work. I would have really of loved to used the Graffitti Valentines words too but could not get them to a smaller size. I didnt think I was that technically challenged with this kind of stuff, but I guess I am.

I used Basic Grey papers from the Two Scoops Collection. I love the little cherubs on this paper!!! You can find this challenge here:

Thanks for stopping by and looking!!!

This is a wonderful card :), thankyou for playing along this week, just thought i'd leave a little tip before i go though hehe,

if you have the word program in your computer try opening one of the digi images into it (there should be a toolbar along the top, click on the image that looks like a landscape), the image should be surrounded by a box with little squares on each side and corner, move your mouse arrow over one of the corners and it should turn into a double ended arrow, when this happens left click and hold on your mouse then move the mouse either away (for bigger) or towards you for smaller, this will resize your image for you,

if you need any more help with this, you can find my blog here , just leave me a comment or email me and i'll try and get back to you :)

oooo also did you know that there is a special spray that seals the ink from your printer which enables you to watercolor i cant for the life of me remember the name though, sorry

Danita - STUNNING!! I love the way you overcame the difficult of 'smearing' ink and when I zoomed it I actually love the effect that printing on vellum has achieved - something I'm definitely going to give a try.
Attaching the vellum with heart brads - perfect answer.
